Alexandra graduated as a Psychologist with a Postgraduate Degree in 2003 Colombia, South America.
She speaks both English and Spanish fluently. She has worked as a Psychologist for over 10 years in both Colombia and New Zealand. She utilises a variety of therapy techniques including CBT, ACT, EFT and humanistic theories to guide her practice and will start training in EMDR this year.
Alexandra believes in the power of the therapeutic relationship. She genuinely values the importance of building a rapport with clients in finding a therapist they fell is a good fit for them based on their treatment needs and goals.

Janette is a registered psychotherapist and addictions practitioner with 20 years experience working in NGO’s, addiction programs, prison, hospice and private practice in New Zealand and USA.
She provides therapy for clients who experience trauma, anxiety, depression, general relatedness issues and addiction. Janette uses techniques from Transactional Analysis and EMDR to enhance the client’s wellbeing and progress.

Heather has been practicing psychology since 2011, originally qualifying in South Africa. Heather is a certified EMDR practitioner with advanced training to support children and adults who have experienced upsetting or disturbing events.
Heather works with people who feel stuck in their present lives, anxious about the future, or can’t seem to move forward from their past. She recognises that people may prefer various ways to comfortably express themselves. Heather also provides professional supervision services.

Fran is a Counselling Psychologist with specialised training in child play therapy, family therapy and couples therapy. She grew up in South Africa and managed her own private practice in the Eastern Cape for eight years and established a couples counselling centre with four other practitioners in 2019.
Fran is trained in and uses a variety of approaches to therapy, which are predominantly attachment-focused and include: Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP). Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). Person Centred Therapy (PCT), and is currently training in Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR). Her areas of focus and treatment range across the lifespan and include postpartum support and adjustment to motherhood, attachment difficulties, emotion regulation and behaviour challenges, trauma in its various forms, depression and anxiety.
Fran works with children from the age of four as well as adults.

Michael completed his training in Clinical Psychology at Massey University. Since 2018 he has worked with adult clients in the Napier Community Mental Health Service before joining Bay Psychology in 2023.
Michael works with a range of issues including anxiety, depression and trauma. Michael utilises a range of therapy approaches to understand and treat mental health issues, including CBT, ACT and DBT.

Lee qualified as a psychologist in South Africa in 2010 and has practised in New Zealand since 2013. Her training included multiple therapeutic modalities including ego state hypnotherapy, sandtray therapy, narrative therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy and more recently EMDR.
Lee works with children and adults who have experienced adversity including anxiety, trauma, abuse, and life-stage challenges.

Kegan completed his studies in 2010 in South Africa, then gained experience in multiple therapeutic settings for more than a decade. In 2021, Kegan and his whanau embarked on a new and exciting challenge by relocating to New Zealand.
His preferred therapeutic approaches include Narrative Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Kegan’s areas of therapeutic focus include depression, anxiety, trauma, abuse, relationship challenges and career development.
He enjoys working with adolescents from 12 years of age and adults. Kegan is passionate about developing meaningful and collaborative partnerships that support people in overcoming their personal challenges as they strive towards life- changing outcomes.

Gillian originally trained as a Psychologist in Australia and has been practicing in the Hawkes Bay since 2016. Gillian is experienced supporting people across the age range. She has a special interest in anger management, anxiety, trauma and supporting children and families.
Gillian takes an integrative therapeutic approach, meaning she uses her knowledge of different treatment approaches to tailor the therapy to best suit you. These approaches include cognitive behavioural therapy, solution-focused therapy, EMDR and interpersonal neurobiology.

Linda qualified as a Psychologist in Queensland, Australia in 2006. In Brisbane she worked as a manager of a sexual assault service for young women and as senior manager for student counselling services at the University of Queensland. Since 2014 she has worked in the Hawke’s Bay as a Psychologist focusing on clients with sensitive claims and chronic pain issues.
Born in New Zealand, Linda has a wealth of experience that she draws on from working in NZ, Australia and the Middle East. Her style is eclectic and tailored to individual client needs and strengths. Linda uses a range of therapeutic methods including CBT, ACT, TA, Narrative and Systemic therapies, as she is keenly aware that clients sit within complex family, cultural and social systems. She has completed the first stage of EMDR training.
